Line of Events
After a young girl is found dead in a secluded religious mountain community, a group of teenage girls decide to take on the evil spirits they believe killed her with their own dark nature. No pun intended – the movie is very slow, but that’s not what my reference(s) are about…
of course the title plays a role, but so does the relationship(s) between the characters
Whether it’s family or friends – yes, there’s more to this movie than meets the eye. Now that I say that, I’m saying that I see the ending in a light that I may not have intended.
I’m pretty sure it means what I think it means (our protagonist calls out to the character
which would circle back to a moment when the family is pulled over by a police officer – a routine check? Well, trust your eyes if you see something – even if you don’t also there – you get it.
I still think this coming-of-age story deserves it
The acting is good, but I’ve seen movies with similar themes (“hidden” message, which is kind of clear when you see and hear the signs) … and it has its own raison d’être …
as does the girl
who has to fight and protect herself … in more ways than one!
