Colin Farrell fought hard to make his version of the Penguin smoke tobacco in Batman (2022), but failed
Line of Events
After the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka The Penguin, plays a show to take control of Gotham’s criminal underworld. From melting makeup to filming in freezing temperatures, Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti talk about how they got into character during the production of The Penguin. For his own series, however, the character was portrayed as an occasional tobacco user, with a penchant for cigars.

Colin Farrell is absolutely brilliant as Oz Cobb aka
I’ve been waiting for The Penguin since it was first announced that it was going to series, and I can tell you that it’s every bit as good as I expected. Penguin. He was at his best in Batman, and he’s even better in the lead role.
I hope we get more stories like this from this world
On top of that, Cristin Milioti is just as good as Sofia Falcone. The two fight to see who is the number 1 gangster in Gotham and to "bring order to all the chaos." Some people were worried that a supporting character like The Penguin couldn’t carry the show and it wouldn’t work without Batman or Bruce Wayne, but fear not because this is more than just a villain in a superhero show, it’s his own himself a great crime drama. It’s a gritty, violent crime drama that’s so much fun to watch unfold.
