Line of Events
After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot named Roz gets stuck on an uninhabited island. In order to survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island’s animals and takes care of an orphaned gosling. Lupita Nyong’o and writer-director Chris Sanders talk about notable works and their time making The Wild. According to author Peter Brown, the inspiration for “The Wild Robot” came from a sketch he made of a robot in a tree.

He then asked the question “What would an intelligent robot do in the wilderness?”. When the fox enters the cabin, the deer near the doorway grunts, but the sound effect is a recorded bear. Roz: [from the trailer] Sometimes to survive you have to become more than you were programmed to be. The rower and Fink plant a tree together.

When I watched this movie I was unfamiliar with the book so I was going in blind and I was not disappointed. I loved the movie from start to finish because of the animation style, the characters, the soundtrack and the different themes of the movie.
The themes I considered were motherhood, being seen as different in society and growing up
I always love when movies leave a lasting impression on you and this one definitely does. I’ll be honest, I didn’t expect to cry during this movie, but I did…three times. It was so simple yet complex with the themes they conveyed and I recommend people of all ages to watch this movie. I loved and loved this movie so much and can’t wait to watch it again..
